When To Wear And Not To Wear Reading Glasses

Light, color , shapes and all the beautiful things that surrounds us are seen by our eyes which play an important role in our body. It is nearly impossible to live without a vision, although people who were born blind still live normally like we do but it is a pity to see them walk on the streets without any guide and unable to describe things without the use of visual senses. So we should know how to value our eyes and take care of it.
We all know that wearing Reading Glasses is to correct our vision but we should be aware that there are times that wearing them is really unsafe such as in sports that require direct and physical contact like basketball, baseball or soccer. Most often athletes with vision correction would wear goggles instead of a plastic or Metal Reading Glasses to protect their lenses from direct or sudden impact where most common danger when wearing a glasses during sports is the breaking of the lenses which is really dangerous specially when the lens is made of glass.
Not just in sports even when you’re just at home like forgetting to take off your eyeglasses before you sleep. In this case sometimes a person might put pressure on his eyes with the frames. Getting cut with a metal frame is the worst but most often cuts and severe bleeding happens when glass lens breaks. It happens usually when a person falls out of bed with their glasses on. For safety when you feel tired don’t forget to take it off and might as well take a nap.
Most people solve this problem by wearing Contact Lenses but what they don’t know is that wearing them is much more dangerous than wearing the spectacles. The fact that these type of lenses are in direct contact with the cornea, the eye itself is vulnerable to danger such ad direct or sudden impact to the eye would result to severe bleeding and worst blindness. Unlike eyeglasses most of the injuries are found externally. Usually eyelids, cheeks or eyebrows would get cut from lenses or frames but with contact lenses the cornea or the eyeball would get scratches or worst cuts. So it’s not really advisable to wear these type of lenses before you sleep and playing different kind of sport that requires strenuous physical activity as well.
